SmartMix Technologies is one of South Africa’s fastest-growing fuel-intelligence and

telematics companies, helping transport, mining, construction and logistics fleets protect

every drop of diesel, eliminate theft, reduce fuel costs, and improve operational efficiency.

We are expanding our team and seeking a Product Specialist to be based in Bloemfontein.

About the Role

This is a technical, analytical and client-facing role.

The Product Specialist acts as the bridge between technology and operations, ensuring

SmartMix systems are:

✔ Installed correctly

✔ Configured accurately

✔ Monitored effectively

✔ Trusted by clients

If you enjoy solving problems, working with telematics systems, developing processes,

analysing fuel data, and working with installations and dashboards — this role is for you.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a hands-on technical problem solver — someone who is confident

working with hardware, software, data and real-world operational environments.

The ideal candidate must be able to:

• Diagnose technical problems quickly

• Perform robust, methodical troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve root causes (not guesswork)

• Implement effective, practical solutions

• Take full ownership of issues until resolved

✔ Technically strong & analytical thinker

✔ Excellent communicator (clients + internal teams)

✔ Detail-driven and disciplined

✔ Calm under pressure

✔ Able to work independently & take ownership

✔ Experience with major telematics hardware brands is a strong advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Become an expert in SmartMix fuel monitoring & telematics solutions

• Support installations and system configurations

• Ensure accuracy and quality control of deployed systems• Investigate fuel anomalies, alerts and performance issues

• Work closely with technicians, control room teams and clients

• Analyse data trends and produce actionable insights

• Train clients and internal teams on SmartMix systems

• Assist with SOP development and ongoing product improvements

• Electrical / Automotive / Technical Field Support

• System Support / Analytics / IoT

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (essential)

• Technical qualification / diploma beneficial

• Experience in a technical or telematics environment (essential)

• Strong computer literacy

• Engineering degree or currently studying (advantage)
